The main question we address in the ACQDIV Lab is:

How can children learn any of the extremely diverse and highly complex linguistic systems without much effort?

The central goal of ACQDIV is to understand the set of cognitive mechanisms that enable language learning, and to determine conditions on variation in the acquisition of individual languages.
