I am a PhD candidate at the University of Zurich studying language acquisition in human infants.

I am part of the Early Surround group of the NCCR Evolving Language. The project focuses on understanding the role of directed and surrounding acts of communication in human infants with the aim to identify their relative importance in language ontogeny and phylogeny. By analysing naturalistic language data from children growing up in culturally diverse contexts, we aim to understand more about the impact of child-surrounding interactions for language acquisition mechanisms.
